PERISCOPE Monthly Talks #3 - Modelling Vaccination Roll-Outs

Last month in #PERISCOPEMonthlyTalks, we discussed the importance of data for forecasting, particularly with the European Covid-19 Forecast Hub and today we’ll focus on modelling vaccination rollouts and the requirements for non-pharmaceutical interventions during the COVID-19 pandemic.

To help understand the modelling of vaccination roll-outs, we’ve invited Dr. Raffaele Bruno, who recently co-authored an study in NATURE on “Modeling vaccination rollouts, SARS-CoV-2 variants and the requirement for non-pharmaceutical interventions in Italy”. Dr Raffaele Bruno is the Director of Infectious Diseases (PoliClinico San Matteo) and a Professor of Infectious Diseases, University of Pavia.

If you don’t recall or are a first time listener, the PERISCOPE project was launched in late 2020 and investigates the broad socio-economic and behavioural impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, in order to make Europe more resilient and prepared for future large-scale risks.
